David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published more than 40 books combined, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
